Job Description:
Location: South Portland, Maine

Join Our Growing Electronics Manufacturing Team! We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented SMT Kitter to support our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production team. In this role, you will be responsible for retrieving electronic components from inventory and assembling kits that provide SMT operators with all the materials needed to build customer orders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organized, hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Retrieve components from inventory, including tape and reel, tubes, and boxed stock.
- Assemble complete kits to support SMT production orders.
- Break down completed kits and verify part counts and accuracy.
- Perform part verification and X-ray counting as needed.
- Return unused materials to proper stock locations.
- Read and interpret process documentation and assembly drawings.
- Maintain accuracy while working efficiently in a production environment.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production and inventory teams.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support business operations.

Desired Background/Skills:
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Good vision, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous electronics manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with ESD requirements and procedures.
- Knowledge of electronic components and identification (training provided).
- Inventory, warehouse, or materials handling experience.

- Location: South Portland, ME.
- Pay Rate: $19.00/hour.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
