A cosmetic Manufacturer located in Bergen County is looking for a Temp to hire Quality lab technician. The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for performing physical and chemical testing of raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company specifications, customer requirements, cGMP standards, and regulatory guidelines.[br
- Temp to hire position.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Overtime: Occasional Friday overtime may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
Quality Control and Laboratory Testing
- Perform physical, chemical, and analytical testing on raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods.
- Conduct quality control and laboratory testing using laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Utilize pH meters and viscometers to evaluate product characteristics and performance.
- Perform specific gravity testing to verify product specifications.
- Use Chatillon gauges to measure product properties and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct melting point analysis using melting point apparatus.
- Perform density testing to confirm material consistency and product quality.

Desired Background/Skills:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with 1 to 5 years of experience is a plus.
- 1 year of cosmetics industry experience preferred.
- Strong chemistry background, exceptional organizational skills, and experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Laboratory Operations, or Validation in a manufacturing environment.

Other Information:
- Temporary to Hire position.
- Pay Rate: Starting at $18.75 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $27.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and performance.
