Sort Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring a 3rd shift Sort Operator in Gallatin, TN! The Sort Operator is responsible for operating sorting equipment to ensure automotive products meet customer quality requirements. This role involves monitoring machine performance, inspecting parts for defects, labeling and preparing finished goods for shipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to producing quality products in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple sorting machines to process automotive products according to customer specifications.
• Inspect products to ensure they are free from defects, contamination, and mixed materials.
• Start, monitor, and perform daily machine checks to identify equipment issues and report malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple machine setups to maintain efficient operations.
• Complete Red Rabbit (Camera Verification) checks following each machine changeover.
• Accurately label finished goods and maintain product traceability.
• Prepare products for shipment while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Weigh and verify finished goods for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using ITW operating principles.

Desired Background/Skills:

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and work procedures.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
