CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Warehouse Associates in the Plainfield, CT area. The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for performing material preparation, pallet jacks, and general warehouse support duties in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role requires frequent movement throughout the warehouse, including bending, lifting, walking, and handling materials to support daily operational needs.

Responsibilities:
[li[]Perform corrugate cutdown operations by cutting, stripping, and removing poly banding and cardboard sheathingfrom full corrugate bales.
- Handle corrugate bales staged on empty skids or at ground level in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent movement, bending, and light lifting.
- Perform non-corrugate cutdown duties by cutting and removing stretch wrap from non-corrugate skids.
- Process non-corrugate materials staged at ground level while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Assemble pallet jacks by removing metal banding, stretch wrap, and wood constraints from unassembled units.
- Move, position, and secure pallet jacks onto skids, including assembling handles, performing functionality checks, and applying poly strapping.
- Perform continuous physical activity, including bending, walking, and handling pallet jacks weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Sweep warehouse floors and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Empty rolling gondolas and poly bins into compactors to process daily waste materials.
- Clean warehouse equipment and support overall facility organization and housekeeping standards.

Desired Background/Skills:
- Previous warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Comfortable with frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle physical work on a consistent basis.
- Experience using hand tools such as utility knives, cutters, or strapping tools preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, move, push, and maneuver materials and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
