Job Description:

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Oven Operator/ Production Operator candidates in the East Providence, RI area.
The Oven/Finishing Operator is responsible for following procedures for Aerogel product manufacture, oven and fabrication equipment operation and safety requirements as documented by Aspen Aerogels.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.

    Safely and efficiently operate Heat Treatment Ovens in rdance with operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Follow product documentation and specifications to ensure proper equipment settings, including temperature, power, and speed.
  • Perform visual inspections of products during operation, identifying, communicating, and addressing defects as required.
  • Follow product documentation for correct tension settings, length measurements, and product removal, while accurately recording required data.
  • Unload Aerogel blankets and complete all labeling and documentation requirements according to established procedures.
  • Perform material handling duties in a safe and responsible manner.

    Conduct preventive maintenance and routine equipment cleaning asected and in accordance with procedures.

  • Dispose of waste materials following company guidelines and environmental procedures.
  • Ensure required blanket samples (quality coupons) are collected and submitted to Quality Control according to specifications.
  • Follow company policies and Shift Leader instructions regarding attendance, breaks, and work assignments.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in daily communication activities.
  • Report equipment issues, malfunctions, or operational concerns to the Shift Leader promptly.

Desired Background/Skills:

    High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or an equivalent ination of education and experience preferred.

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is a plus.

Other Information:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a[/li 24/7 rotating schedule consisting12-hour shifts on a four-days-on, four-days-off rotation, including day shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and night shifts (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
  • Ability to frequently push loads between 75 and 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to frequently pull loads between 75 and 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for the majority of the shift, except during scheduled breaks and meal periods.
  • Ability to walk for the majority of the shift, except during scheduled breaks and meal periods.

    Ability to safely get on and off a forklift using three points of contact and operate forklift controls effectively.

  • Ability to climb stairs between levels multiple times per shift.
  • Ability to operate machine controls requiring fine motor skills and hand coordination.
  • Ability to reach overhead, crouch, and bend as required to perform job duties.
