Facilities Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift – Slatersville, RI – Full-Time – First Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) -$25 -$28 pr/hr We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our clients team in Slatersville, RI. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing facility and manufacturing support systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in a commercial or industrial facility environment, and the ability to respond to facility-related issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facility and manufacturing support systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Install and maintain machinery using blueprints, prints, schematics, and written instructions.
- Maintain climate control systems, HVAC equipment, water systems, cooling towers, air compressors, conveyor systems, and related equipment.
- Complete plumbing, welding, carpentry, and basic electrical repairs.
- Ensure fire protection and emergency systems are functioning properly.
- Monitor, treat, and maintain facility and production water systems.
- Perform equipment calibration and system verification activities.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain HVAC systems.
- Maintain building infrastructure, including lighting, emergency lighting, roofs, drains, and office equipment.
- Assist with grounds maintenance

Desired Background/Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a commercial or industrial facilities maintenance role.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and facility equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Welding, carpentry, and basic electrical skills preferred.
- Valid Health Card required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be available for on-call responsibilities outside of normal working hours (except during approved vacation periods).
- Comfortable working around high-voltage systems in coordination with licensed electricians.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
