Production Openings

CoWorx is has Production Openings in the Sterling, MA area!
SHIFT:

• (8am-8pm) – 12hr Rotating- Machine Operator
• (8am-8pm) – 12hr Rotating – Inspector / Packer

Responsibilities:

Inspector/Packer:

• Watch the machine to be sure product is being produced correctly and will perform quality checks on bags prior to placing into boxes for shipping.
• After putting the bags in the box, they will label the box, stamp box and place on a pallet.

Machine Operator:

• Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup form.
• Responsible for the cleaning of blenders and other equipment for material changes.
• Pre-blend and oversee the blending or mixing of resins in off-line as well as on line.
• Completes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.
• Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork or entered into MRP system.
• Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, venting, portable winders, etc.) and test functionality to assure proper set-up and operation.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain required product quality and/or as identified by Packer/Inspector.
• Implements Berry incident protocol for medical assistance and applies first aid if trained.
• Identifies equipment shortfalls and completes maintenance request forms.
• Closes orders in system when complete.
• Identifies and strives to meet expected rates or standards of production and notes correct variance code in system.
• Assures that repro is being run into product at predetermined.
• Bill of Materials adjustments and corrections.

Performs and document 2-hour quality checks.

Perform other related functions and duties as assigned or required.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Machine Operators – MUST be able to read & understand English; prefer someone with experience operating extruder machines
• Person can speak English as a 2nd language, but MUST be able to read & communicate in English
• Inspector/Packer – Packer MUST be able to read & understand English; Able to speak basic English well.
