Electric Assembly – Soldering

Job Description:

Location: Cranston, Rhode Island

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Electric Assembly – Soldering in the Cranston, RI area.
Hand soldering and rework of electronic components in printed circuit boards

Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow standard Assembly Process Instructions (APIs)
  • Solder SMT and through-hole components
  • Use hand and power tools such as soldering irons, cutters, pliers, and scopes
  • Perform intermediate hand assembly/soldering operations
  • Installation of surface mount components (Skill hand soldering)
  • Identify and apply very small components in very small spaces without damaging adjacent parts
  • Keep work environment clean, safe and orderly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Background/Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous soldering experience preferred
  • IPC Certification preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to read instructions in English
  • Must be able to work under microscope for long periods of time
