Material Handling Position

Job Description:

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Material Handling Associates in the Phoenix, AZ area. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and/or packing orders, label printing and inspecting products for orders, and utilizing the specific equipment to pick, pack, and kit products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product are selected and prepared accurately. [[ul for shipment, ensuring the correctand materials to verify order accuracy.
  • Pack orders for shipment using parcel, LTL, and TL carriers in accordance with shipping requirements.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on required forms and systems.
  • Apply shipping and tracking labels to boxes and pallets and ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
  • Report missing items, inventory discrepancies, or quality variances to the supervisor.
  • Ensure outbound shipments are accurate, complete, and free from damage.
  • Inspect containers, materials, and products to verify compliance with packing specifications.
  • Perform and document quality inspections in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in inventory audits and cycle count activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • Ensure the facility remains inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate and report incidents, safety concerns, and operational issues promptly.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required.
  • Complete additional assignments and miscellaneous tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including stooping, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess steel-toe shoes and wear metatarsal foot protection as required.
  • Action-oriented with the ability to take on new opportunities and challenges with urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working with others to achieve shared objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills and the ability to make timely, effective decisions.
  • Optimizes work processes through efficient execution and a focus on continuous improvement. Adapts effectively to changing priorities, situations, and workplace demands.

Other Information:

Schedule Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm OT hours 5:00 am – 3:30pm and 1 day on the weekend Saturday or Sunday during peak season
2nd shift Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30am OT hours 3:00 pm – 1:30 am and 1 day on the weekend Saturday or Sunday during peak season
