Material Handler/Forklift

CoWorx Staffing Services has an immediate Material Handler/Forklift Operator (Stand-Up Reach) opportunity with a fantastic, employee-focused company in the East Rutherford, NJ area. Responsibilities:

• Accurately select and pull orders from the freezer, either manually or using a forklift.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including palletizing, wrapping, and labeling.
• Receive and ship freight, including loading and unloading trailers and containers, palletizing, and stocking inventory.
• Accurately count received and outgoing orders and report discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain quality control standards to ensure damaged or spoiled products are not received or shipped.
• Complete daily logs and required documentation.
• Accurately scan and receive finished products from production and boxing areas and transport them to freezer storage or other designated locations.
• Clean and organize warehouse, freezer, and storage areas while helping maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Perform physical inventory counts as needed.
• Ensure equipment, including forklifts and scanners, is maintained in good working order.
• Follow all food safety policies and procedures.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Must have solid forklift experience, primarily operating stand-up and reach forklifts; forklift certification preferred.
• Prior warehouse experience required.
• Must be personable, dependable, and reliable.
• High School graduate with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in extremely low temperatures, including freezer environments as cold as -10°F.

Other Information:

Shift/Schedule:

• Forklift Handler position.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
• Stand-up forklift experience required.
• Experience working in a freezer or cold storage environment required.
