Sr. Maintenance Technician

Location: Andover, Massachusetts

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team in Andover, MA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting facility, manufacturing, or industrial operations. This position is for 2nd shift.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving facility equipment and building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and a strong commitment to safety and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of facility equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure reliable operation.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including motors, pumps, lighting systems, and control systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations to minimize operational downtime.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, repair logs, and parts inventory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and applicable industry standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers on specialized maintenance projects and repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or equipment maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Technical certifications in maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift equipment throughout the work shift.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and a variety of facility environments.
  • Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
