Machine Operator

CoWorx has partnered with a raw material manufacturer, who is looking to add Machine Operators to their team in New Hartford, NY.
These are 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift positions paying $21-$23 per hour depending on shift.
Potential shifts include Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, 3:30pm to 12:00am or 11:30pm to 8:00am. We also have a weekend shift – Friday to Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide manufacturing labor, testing, evaluation, and documentation to support production and ancillary operations.
• Perform rolling operations and generate roll-downs for internal and external test sampling.
• Maintain production records and enter data into electronic systems and files.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including minor repairs and modifications.
• Perform redraw, wire drawing, cleaning, and annealing processes.
• Maintain accurate production records and product identification throughout the manufacturing process.
• Prepare, inspect, and pack products for shipment.
• Receive, identify, sort, document, store, and distribute bar, coil, slab, sheet, and wire samples for chemistry, metallographic, and mechanical testing.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Previous manufacturing and machine operating experience preferred.
• Commitment to working safely and following all safety policies and procedures.
