Production Associate

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring Production Associates in Norwich, CT! The Production Associate I, is responsible for supporting the production process by operating machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves hands-on work with production equipment, packing finished products, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently meet all assigned production requirements by following established operating procedures and work instructions.
• Operate production equipment as necessary to meet required production schedules.
• Assemble, package, and label products while accurately completing required production documentation.
• Perform required inspections and quality checks and complete all associated documentation in accordance with process requirements, inspection sheets, work instructions, and traceability standards.
• Inspect finished and in-process products for dimensional accuracy and cosmetic quality according to defined specifications.
• Complete rework on products that do not meet specifications and collaborate with other production areas to resolve quality issues.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine preventive maintenance as required.
• Contribute to team success by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential issues, providing feedback on process changes, and maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Cross-train in other production areas and perform duties in those areas as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and follow procedures to prevent pollution and minimize environmental impact.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Prior experience using scales preferred.
