Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join a busy and growing manufacturing team in Carlisle, PA. Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we are expanding our team and looking for mechanically inclined individuals who take pride in quality workmanship.
Location: Carlisle, PA
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Pay: Up to $25/hour
Employment Type: Direct Hire

The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical or assembly experience, with additional skills in hydraulics, electrical systems, or pneumatics. You will be involved in the final assembly of specialized trailer equipment, where attention to detail and quality are critical.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly and installation during the final trailer build process
• Install and connect hydraulic fittings and hoses
• Perform control wiring and basic electrical assembly
• Install and troubleshoot trailer electrical components
• Work with pneumatic systems
• Install steering components and wheels
• Perform trailer alignment and general mechanical assembly
• Properly route hoses according to required standards
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work
• Safely operate cranes and other equipment as needed
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and proper operation
• Work closely with experienced team members to meet production goals
• Cross-train in additional areas of the manufacturing and final assembly process

Desired Background/Skills:

• Previous mechanical assembly, manufacturing, automotive, trailer, heavy equipment, or similar hands-on experience
• Strong basic mechanical aptitude
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electrical systems strongly preferred
• Ability to work with hand and power tools
• Ability to follow assembly instructions and established procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to cross-train and assist in different areas as production needs change
