Location: Worcester, Massachusetts

CNC Machinist Set-Up – Tool & Die, Worcester, MA, $33/hour -$35 pr/hr – Full-Time | Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Tool & Die to join the Tool Room team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys working on complex tooling, fixtures, dies, and precision components in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of custom bearings, stampings, and precision machined components.
As a CNC Set-Up Tool &Die Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and conventional machine tools to produce high-precision tooling and components

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling, boring, drilling, thread milling, and tapping equipment
  • Download and adjust CNC programs as needed during machine setup
  • Build, repair, and modify jigs, fixtures, dies, tools, and master tooling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and engineering drawings
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications of finished parts
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
  • Perform fitting, grinding, polishing, and finishing operations
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe work environment
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 5+ years of Tool & Die, Jig & Fixture, or Tool Room machining experience
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools
  • Strong blueprint reading and tooling fabrication skills
  • Ability to work with close tolerances (±0.001″)
  • Experience producing finished components from engineering drawings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Tool Room setup experience
  • Knowledge of ISO manufacturing environments
  • Experience in precision manufacturing operations
