Quality Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client’s team in Westford, MA. This is a F/T direct placement at $35 -$40 per hour
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with experience inspecting precision machined components, interpreting engineering drawings, and utilizing advanced measurement equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality systems, dimensional inspection, and statistical process control.
Experience with CMM reporting and process capability analysis is required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, travelers, specifications, and process sheets
• Conduct inspections using customer and company inspection plans
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology equipment
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records
• Identify and report nonconforming products and quality issues
• Assist production personnel with inspection methods and measurement techniques
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement activities
• Support management reviews and quality-related reporting
• Maintain organized inspection documentation and records
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent mathematical skills
• Ability to identify trends and drive process improvements

Desired Background/Skills:

• 5+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience inspecting machined components to tight tolerances
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Proficiency with precision measurement equipment
• Experience with CMM data extraction and statistical reporting highly preferred
• Knowledge of Cpk calculations and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Strong computer skills with the ability to analyze and report quality data
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
