We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator to join our Corporate team in Morristown, NJ. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in office 3 days a week.

The Payroll Coordinator will be part of a team that processes weekly and assist biweekly payrolls for a multi-company organization. In addition to processing payroll, the administrator’s main function will be to generate reports and coordinate with the front and middle office to determine issues that need to be corrected on field talent’s records before exporting to Great Plains to be processed. The administrator will also set up voluntary and involuntary deductions including court orders, child support, tax levies, and garnishments.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate reports, review, validate, and correct as needed.
  • Process weekly, for multiple companies utilizing an in-house system.
  • Respond to employee, Human Resources, and third-party vendor inquiries.
  • Crosstrain on various payroll processes
  • Assist with tax inquiries and year-end processes including W-2s and W-2C.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of records and information.
  • Set up garnishments, child support, and tax levies and respond to interrogatories.
  • Assist with occasional Biweekly payroll when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of 2+ years of prior experience in payroll.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-state environment.
  • The ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Proficiency with computer-based software including, Excel and Windows, ability to learn in-house computer software or prior experience.
  • Excellent data entry and mathematical calculation skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to relate effectively and tactfully with all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communications.
  • The ability to execute tasks and projects independently and multi-task.
