CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Assembly/Machine Operator candidates in the Thomaston, CT area. The Assembly Machine Operator monitors the assembly line and related machinery for proper functionality. If any defects in the line or machinery are detected, assembly operators stop the line and halt production until the problem is resolved.

Responsibilities:

Load/mount product slated for Assembly onto the line
Pack and label boxes.
Guide/feed materials into machinery.
Monitor machinery for proper operation.
Verify sensors are functioning properly.
Verify machine is operating at appropriate speed
Perform various quality inspections, visuals, & mechanical.
Observe and report machine abnormalities to Shift Lead, mechanic, or supervisor.
Maintain communication with all team members.
Perform all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures.
Maintain workstation in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Adhere to all Safety Protocols
Properly completes required paperwork.

Desired Background/Skills:

High School diploma/GED required
Basic ability to read, write and understand English.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Basic math skills: ability to add and subtract.
Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.
Ability to interpret and support policies, procedures, and standards established by Silgan
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a Team environment
Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision
Must be comfortable with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
