CoWorx Staffing is seeking a 1st shift Shipping Clerk. The Shipping Clerk will assure all shipments are properly labeled before being loaded on the truck for delivery; all bills of lading are typed; LTL shipments are prepared for pick­ up; any other duties as assigned. Position is located in Warren, however training will be 1-2 weeks at client’s West Brookfield site.

Responsibilities:

Organize BOL’s and packing slips from previous day to send to accounting for invoicing.
Create labels for production.
Assign carriers to pick up LTL
Get freight quotes for sales office
Handle customer pick-ups
Answer phone
Create all shipping documents for current day trucks
Receive in supplies and customer returns
Reprint revised shipping documents throughout the day to keep most current one.

Desired Background/Skills:

Ability to perform related computer tasks
Excellent math and reading skills
Ability to work productively with minimum supervision
Strong interpersonal skills

Other Information:

Temp to hire
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6AM – 4PM, must have flexibility hours are subject to change
PPE: Steel toes recommended, not mandatory
Warehouse is not climate controlled, candidate must be comfortable working in colder environment
