CoWorx is seeking Quality Assurance Technicians in the Haverhill, MA area! Quality Assurance (QA) Tech is responsible for ensuring that all food safety and quality assurance processes and documents are implemented and maintained to meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements. This position reviews all aspects of the facility and works cross-functionally to uphold product integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement in a distribution environment. Responsibilities: Ensure the products are safe and meet all quality standards/ Responsible for conducting pre- operative line inspections and clearances; including sanitation and pest control. Reporting foods safety issues or concerns. Coordinate with QA Lead, Supervisor, area supervisors (warehousing, shipping and receiving, and line leads) to ensure that (Federal, State and Local), customer and internal requirements for HACCP, GSDP’s, SSOP’s, FSMA, Sanitation and Pest Control are being followed. Promote quality and food safety adherence throughout the company. Box assembly audits: audits of picked and packed orders to ensure they are of acceptable quality, condition, and quantity. QA Daily GSDP Audit: daily audit, broken down by section of the facility, auditing employee adherence to good storage and distribution practices. Shipping and receiving checks: temperature and condition checks of trailers and incoming products to ensure inbound shipments meet quality and food safety standards. Responsible for using and calibrating thermometers and maintaining appropriate records and logs. Take, record, and verify temperatures, appearances, and other quality attributes -log all data on required forms at required frequencies. Ability to stop picking lines whenever quality/food safety issues arise. Responsible for monitoring the foreign object control form. Verifies cleanliness of equipment using established Pre-Op & Sanitation procedures. |

Desired Background/Skills: A High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: technical coursework or training in Food Safety, Microbiology, Food, Science, or related fields. Ability to work unsupervised, excellent self-motivation. Ability to communicate effectively and work with others in a team atmosphere. A keen eye for detail and record keeping skills. Experience in food safety, preferably with a HACCP Certificate or equivalent. Ability to work /stands for 8-hour periods in refrigerated environment (40F and below). Distribution, warehousing, or quality assurance experience is preferred but will consider other food experience. Computer/typing skills using MS Office preferred. GSDP & Food Safety experience preferred. Bilingual-Spanish/English preferred but not a must. |
