Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements. This role supports the company’s quality system by identifying defects, documenting inspection results, assisting with corrective actions, and working with internal teams to resolve quality concerns. The Quality Inspector will inspect electro-mechanical assemblies, troubleshoot issues, maintain quality records, and ensure products meet established standards before shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings; perform measurements using measuring tools such as a tape measure and other inspection equipment to verify product specifications.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Verify products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain inspection records.
  • Identify nonconforming materials and complete Material Rejection Reports (MRRs) as required.
  • Support corrective and preventive actions by investigating quality issues and tracking resolutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting investigations.
  • Maintain inspection criteria, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Support supplier inspections, audits, and qualification activities.
  • Assist with RMA inspections and update quality records.
  • Work with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 2+ year of experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Control, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, part specifications, and technical prints.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other inspection equipment to verify product dimensions and specifications.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, electrical components, and pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, inspection procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Experience handling RMAs and resolving quality issues preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
