CoWorx Staffing is looking for experienced Warehouse Associates for both 1st & 2nd shift for a national client with a new distribution facility in Smryna, DE. As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play an important role in making sure freight gets where it needs to go. You’ll work alongside a top-caliber management team that understands the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, verifying incoming merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing.
• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine materials and products to be moved, picked, distributed, or shipped.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and accessible warehouse environment for employees, customers, and operational activities.
• Complete all assigned duties in a safe manner while adhering to company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Assemble products and participate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory verification activities as required.
• Conduct driver check calls to monitor shipment status and ensure loads are on schedule for timely delivery.
• Verify load data and supporting documentation prior to marking shipments as delivered to support accurate accounting and billing processes.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring shipments arrive on time, in good condition, and in compliance with customer requirements.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Basic English written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse technology systems.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, based on freight volumes and operational needs.
• Previous dock or warehouse experience within the transportation or logistics industry preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
• Experience using handheld scanners and other inventory tracking equipment.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to safely load and unload trucks while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Other Information:

Shifts available: (pay range varies with shift and experience and ranges between $18.00 – $20.50 per hour) 1st Shift – 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
2nd Shift (3 shift options):
– 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
– 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
– 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
