CoWorx is seeking Material Handlers in the Lawrence, MA area! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the facility, including the storage of raw material supplied by the receiving department and the distribution of the same material to the Roll Department. This role is critical to our operational success and requires a strong understanding of inventory control principles, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO), shelf-life management, and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming raw materials; verify P/N’s and product descriptions for accuracy, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Perform accurate and timely inventory transactions within the company’s ERP system for all material movements, including receipts, transfers, issues to production, and shipments.
- Strictly adhere to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methodology for all raw materials to ensure proper stock rotation and prevent obsolescence.
- Meticulously manage materials with specific shelf-life requirements, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and timely issuance to production before expiration dates.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to ensure ERP system accuracy and investigate any variances.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials to and from storage locations and production areas.
- Pick, kit, and prepare materials for production jobs according to work orders, ensuring the correct components and quantities are delivered to the manufacturing floor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and stockroom environment.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing departments to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of materials.

Desired Background/Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a material handling or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of inventory management principles, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO).
- Proven experience managing materials with strict shelf-life requirements.
- Proficiency in using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system for inventory transactions is essential.
- Experience with cycle counting and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Certified or able to become certified to operate a forklift.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
