CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking AR Collections and Chargebacks Specialist candidates in the Westbrook, ME area. This position requires an experienced B2B collections professional who can confidently manage a full accounts receivable portfolio from daily collections through dispute resolution and cash application. The role focuses on persistent, relationship-driven collections, accurate cash posting, and timely resolution of chargebacks, deductions, and short-pays. Success in this role depends on strong organization, attention to detail, ERP and Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple aging accounts and disputes simultaneously while maintaining consistent follow-up and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Collections Execution Conduct daily collection follow-ups via phone, email, and customer portals Actively manage an A/R aging with disciplined follow-up cadence across: Current 1–30 days 31–60 days 61–90 days 90+ days past due Chargebacks, Deductions, and Short-Pays Research discrepancies and identify root causes Gather required documentation, including: Invoice backups Proof of Delivery (POD) / Bill of Lading (BOL) Pricing approvals Promotional forms and agreements Submit disputes through customer-specific processes and portals Track disputes through resolution and closure Cash Application Accurately apply customer payments (ACH, check, wire, lockbox) Post deductions correctly and timely Investigate and resolve unapplied cash and payment variances promptly

Desired Background/Skills:

4+ years of hands-on B2B collections experience (must be comfortable being firm and persistent) Proven experience with cash application, payment posting, and reconciliation Strong experience handling deductions, chargebacks, and short-pays CPG, manufacturing, distributor, or retailer experience is a plus ERP experience required (Infor experience preferred) Strong Excel skills, including filters and sorting; pivots and lookups are helpful Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple open items simultaneously without losing follow-up
