CoWorx is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd Shift in the St. Charles, IL area! We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to support production and manufacturing operations at a high-volume industrial facility in St. Charles, IL. This is a direct-hire, 2nd shift position focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electromechanical equipment to ensure consistent uptime and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair production equipment to support manufacturing operations Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in response to equipment failures Repair and maintain machinery using diagrams, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer specifications Service equipment such as die cutters, presses, folders, conveyors, bindery equipment, and related machinery Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments Fabricate or repair parts using welders and machine tools (lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, etc.) Perform basic building maintenance and other duties as assigned Share technical expertise and assist with training other maintenance team members Carry out additional responsibilities as business needs evolve Follow all safety procedures including OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, HazMat, and related regulations

Desired Background/Skills:

Must be 18 years old or older Proven skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery Advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems Ability to diagnose and distinguish between mechanical and electrical failures Strong precision skills for alignment, parallelism, concentricity, and measurement Ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Knowledge of geometry, shop math, and mechanical formulas Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, HazMat, and LOTO requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable with standing/walking for extended periods
