CoWorx is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team in the Lawrence, MA area.br] In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating manufacturing machinery (such as die-cutters, punch presses, or laminators).
The ideal candidate possesses strong hand-eye coordination, a focus on safety, and the ability to maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced environment. This is an entry- to mid-level position with opportunities for growth within our manufacturing environment.
Shift: 7:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate light machinery according to production blueprints, schematics, or supervisor instructions.
• Material Feeding: Load raw materials or parts into the machines and carefully monitor the production process to ensure smooth operation.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products visually or using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet strict company quality standards.
• Troubleshooting: Identify minor mechanical issues or defects in real-time and perform basic adjustments; report larger malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors immediately.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic, daily preventative maintenance, such as cleaning, oiling, and clearing debris from machines.
• Documentation: Keep accurate logs of daily production counts, material usage, and time keeping.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean, hazard-free workstation.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions, safety manuals, and measurement scales.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory and checking product dimensions.
