Licensed Electrician – 1st Shift – Slatervilles, RI, Full-Time – First Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) $35 -$40 pr/hr
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Electrician to join our clients’ teams in Slatersville, RI. This hands-on position is Installs, troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems, and electrical and electronic components and related apparatus. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, electrician skills, and experience working in a commercial or industrial facility environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all electrical apparatus and lighting systems in accordance with local and state electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical connections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Program electronic equipment and recommend programming changes as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues involving HVAC systems, telephone and computer networks, conveyors, emergency lighting, power distribution systems, communication systems, data lines, new installations, and services.
• Diagnose malfunctions in transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged wires, cables, and components.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with maintenance personnel to identify and resolve issues.
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices.
• Plan wiring layouts and install wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment within buildings.
• Perform work that may include running heavy conduit and moving transformers.

Desired Background/Skills:

• 5-10 years of demonstrated commercial electrical work experience.
• Holds an active Rhode Island (RI) Electrician Journeyman’s License.
