CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Clayton, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial equipment, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring products are received, moved, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate powered industrial lift trucks, forklifts, and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, and transport products, materials, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
• Use handheld scanning devices with a high degree of accuracy to track inventory movements, shipments, and warehouse transactions.
• Load and unload trailers in accordance with operational requirements, safety procedures, and productivity standards.
• Perform inbound receiving activities, including verifying shipments, processing receipts, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to facility 7S standards and housekeeping requirements.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Demonstrate a commitment to process excellence, continuous improvement, and operational effectiveness.
• Work effectively in hot and cold warehouse environments with varying temperature conditions.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and other assigned tasks to support daily operations and team objectives.

Desired Background/Skills:

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of warehouse experience required.
• Current training and certification in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks required.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy, quality, and safety standards.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely move materials using wheeled carts weighing up to 500 pounds while following proper material handling procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull while performing warehouse and distribution duties.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate equipment, handle materials, and perform assigned tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work comfortably in hot and cold warehouse environments with varying temperature conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills and a commitment to supporting team goals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with leadership and coworkers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.

Location: Clayton, IN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
