We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and is looking for an opportunity to grow into a long-term position.

Responsibilities:

• Process and monitor customer invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Post cash receipts and payments.
• Manage collections activities and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare reports as needed.
• Communicate with customers regarding payment status and account inquiries.
• Support the accounting team with various AR-related tasks

Desired Background/Skills:

• Previous Accounts Receivable experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of invoicing, cash posting, collections, and account reconciliation
• Experience resolving payment discrepancies and customer account issues
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Location: Westbrook, ME
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (some flexibility available)
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (DOE)
