CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a Tooling Engineer in the Slatersville, RI area. We’re working with an amazing client in Slatersville RI in search of an experienced Tooling Engineer with a passion for injection mold design, tooling optimization, and project management. This is a 1st shift, direct placement to the client, with a salary range of $70 -$80K.

Responsibilities:

• Lead quoting activities for new product launches, tooling projects, and manufacturing initiatives to ensure accurate cost estimates and project feasibility.
• Manage mold build projects from initial concept through final completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality requirements, and customer expectations are achieved.
• Review mold designs and provide technical recommendations related to design improvements, material selection, manufacturability, and overall mold performance.
• Provide engineering support to toolroom and molding operations by troubleshooting tooling, process, and production-related issues.
• Design, implement, and optimize tooling solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement activities focused on product quality, manufacturing processes, cost reduction, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Participate in product design reviews, mold design reviews, automation planning, and production readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure successful execution of engineering and tooling projects.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns, tooling issues, and production challenges while supporting continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of industrial experience and technical expertise required.
• Five to ten years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Strong background in injection molding processes and mold design, preferably with experience supporting high-cavitation molds.
• Experience managing tooling, mold-building, and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Proficiency with CAD software and/or SolidWorks for product, tooling, and process design activities.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
