Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer, Carlisle, PA , 1st Shift , $25-$30/Hour
Our clients growing engineering team is expanding and seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of custom trailer systems and innovative equipment solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical circuits including relays, relay logic, solenoids, push buttons, controls, switches, lighting, motors, wiring harnesses, and simple control systems.
• Develop hydraulic circuits utilizing valves, cylinders, pumps, accumulators, filters, and hydraulic tanks.
• Create pneumatic systems for air suspension and air brake applications.
• Support wireless remote-control system specifications and future CAN bus control technologies.
• Assist Project Engineers and Engineering Managers with custom trailer design projects.
• Perform mechanical design work, progressing to increasingly complex projects.
• Support engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) under senior engineering guidance.
• Take ownership of projects as experience and expertise grow.
• Create 3D designs of steel trailer structures using SolidWorks.
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings, fabrication prints, laser files (.dxf), machining drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Develop bills of materials and calculate material requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve designs and processes.
• Assist with engineering instructions, troubleshooting, quoting, and sales support efforts.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
