Field Services Technician – HVAC Measurement and Warranty

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically skilled Field Services Technician to join our growing team. This role is primarily field based, involving extensive travel throughout the Northeast and periodic trips to the Carolinas. You will perform critical measurements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure HVAC solutions are installed and functioning to the highest standards. The ideal candidate thrives on independence, problem solving, and delivering exceptional results. You will serve as the on site expert for AHU curb and adaptor field measurements, warranty assessments, and occasional installation support. Your work will directly impact product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Compensation

• Salary: $65,000–$75,000, negotiable based on experience

Position Details

• Reports to: Service Manager
• Employment Type: Full time, non union
• Work Location: Northeast Region (extensive travel), periodic travel to Carolinas

Responsibilities:

• Field Measurements: Perform precise field measurements for AHU curbs, adaptors, and related products.
• Warranty Support: Inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve warranty issues related to the AHU product line.
• Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose HVAC application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Installation Assistance: Provide on site support for AHU product installations when needed.
• Customer Interaction: Represent the organization professionally; communicate clearly and build trust with customers.
• Self Management: Plan and organize daily tasks independently; execute site visits efficiently.
• Documentation: Record accurate site data, photos, and measurements; manage time and resources effectively.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve field problems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with measurement tools, hand tools, and basic power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and in diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs with assistance.
• 3+ years of HVAC installation, service, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of AHUs, curbs, adaptors, and rooftop HVAC systems (training available for the right candidate).
• Experience with warranty service and field measurement in HVAC applications.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication or rooftop equipment installation (training available for the right candidate).

Other Information:

Travel and Work Environment

• 75–85% travel throughout the Northeast, with periodic travel to the Carolinas.
• Mix of outdoor and indoor environments, including rooftop and active construction sites.
• Overnight travel required (all travel expenses covered).
