Electrical Engineering Supervisor – Sanford, Maine (Onsite) $100,000 – $110,000 Salary
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and technicians while driving technical excellence, continuous improvement, and product innovation. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys mentoring teams, managing projects, and contributing to the development of advanced electrical and electromechanical systems. You will oversee a team of four professionals while serving as the primary technical and people leader for the Electrical Engineering department

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Electrical Engineers and Technicians.
• Manage departmental workload, staffing, performance reviews, and employee development.
• Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, controls, schematics, and engineering standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Lead new process implementations and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage engineering projects and guide team members through project management best practices.
• Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to bring new products from concept to production.
• Support customer issue resolution and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ERP system interactions, and product lifecycle management activities.
• Participate in budgeting, KPI tracking, and departmental strategic planning.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• 5+ years of supervisory or engineering management experience.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Electric motors.
• Machine control systems.
• Hardware and software development.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• PMP Certification.
• Knowledge of UL, CE, and other regulatory standards.
• Experience with intellectual property, patents, and trademarks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and product lifecycle management processes.
• Lean Manufacturing experience including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work methodologies.
