We are partnering with a growing custom sheet metal fabrication company in Hudson, NH to identify an experienced Laser Operator for a direct-hire opportunity in the Hudson, NH area. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing Amada Fiber Laser equipment to produce high-quality precision components for prototype and short-run production projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Amada Fiber Laser equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adjust machine parameters to optimize cut quality, speed, and production performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform first-piece inspections and monitor quality throughout production runs.
• Troubleshoot machine, material, and cutting issues as they arise.
• Maintain consistent quality standards in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Work closely with programmers, estimators, and production personnel to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Experience setting up and operating Amada Fiber Laser equipment preferred.
• Background in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools, including calipers and micrometers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
